Modding battle db variables doesn't do anything, for some reason
Hello so I modded Attila and Shogun campaign and battle db files extensively in the past and I wanted to do some tweaks to Pharaoh's battles, especially the time it takes to capture settlements and the morale effect on the defender's troops. So I did everything as usual, I modified the proper strings in pack file manager, I edited the names of the strings etc. etc. and I put my .pack file in the data folder, then turned it on in the launcher. And it doesn't change a thing. Capturing settlements is still blitz-fast and I can see that my troops get morale hit from captured victory points. So what gives? As far as I know I did everything correctly, exactly like I did in Attila and Shogun 2, what's the catch here?

Also, I tried removing matched combat from the battles completely but the game just crashes every time I add kv_rules to my .pack lol, even if I don't change anything (!)

I found, when making the nullifier, that the only name data__ worked universally, with other different name either breaking for me or a friends setup. Sometimes same nameing worked for one but not another.
Try data__, though remember, this replaces all vanilla file entries, so copy over the entire file. This worked in my case
