Can anyone add more variety to Titles?
It's kind of that simple.

I just want to know if someone can make a mod that adds a lot more variety to the titles, and maybe the buffs that the titles give, or at least if either is even possible.

I want to know this because of how ridiculously limited the titles and "skill trees" are in this game.

Just go look at the titles for the Egyptian minor factions if you doubt that.

It would just be nice to see some more variety to how you can build your armies beyond just new units and all from mods.

Well, not exactly.

What I'm talking about is the titles that give various buffs to your general's armies.

Things like Ramesses' Shield of the Medjay buff.

Haven't looked too deeply into how yet, I might do something like this eventually, though not now. I assume it's doable, db edits, image editing of icons etc. It's a question of doing it yourself or finding someone to do it. :)

In theory, my process would be:
The Shield of Medjay is called phar_main_title_4 in the db. Using the global search with this will reveal all db tables and loc files connected to it. I would start by copying an exsisting title with a new name, for all the relevant tables and then test if it works, if it does work, then repeat and start mass producing new titles.

That's a mountain of work for someone :)

Yeah, I know, and I would only ask others cause I don't know much about changing any UI stuff, only really changing basic unit stats and all, and I think that even just adding more titles into the mix would require some UI changes.

You mean icons? Those are labour intensive, like adding the items are just that, adding a bunch of db entries. In my main mod I frequently make building icons, unit cards, portraits etc. The key to success is to duck tape existing pieces together rather than creating stuff from scratch by hand. It's requires lots of mouse clicking and patience. Essentially to do them I recommend having a working image with layers, that way you can always export the actual .png in the correct size and all, plus it's easy to just disable layers, so you go back to a clean backround you can start a new icon from.
I get started the same way with them as with new db stuff, I look in the ui.pack file at the files, copy one over, make a simple edit and see if it shows in-game, if so I start trying more seriously. The program used isn't just RPFM, but Gimp in my case :)

I get that that sounds scary. I hope you find somebody to do this, I think might like such a mod myself :)

No, I mean these
https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/2475383427126086043/13764B9BCD621E58A3551FB0588FF2BD72E862E9/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

Those are the titles that grant various effects to an army.

And I'm just guessing that adding more to the 15 existing ones would be a bit beyond what I currently know about using the RPFM.

Oh nice, let me know if you manage to make a full mod out of it.
