I think they may have the wording wrong. It should be:

Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game

and while you're at it, turn this on too:

Scale Steam Overlay text and icons to match monitor settings

In the upper right corner of my post - same place as the award pop-up button... to the right of that should be the Mark this Post as Answer button, or something to that nature... It should be just under "Report this Post" and "Block User Name"

When it works, it will put a check mark in a circle to the left the entry for your thread on the summary list.

There is no option for that, all I see is the 3 icons for quote, award and report/block

Hmm, maybe "All Discussions" doesn't have that feature. Bummer.

I know the "other" discussions does have it.
