I frequently have the infection-free zone open and running on my primary monitor, and YouTube open on my second monitor. I listen to YouTube content while I play IFZ.

IFZ progress jerks hitch and is intermittent when I play. It’s always been that way for me so I took it as part of the game’s resource utilization. I just noticed the game smooths out when I mouse over and select YouTube on the other monitor. This condition is 100% predictable and reproducible. My installation of IFZ runs smoothly and nearly twice as fast when I ignore it. 😊

I am employed as a technical analyst. I understand the importance of controlling for random variables. I believe the only change of state I am introducing as I switch between monitors is which window or application is selected.
