The idea of ​​a mod for irreversible weapon wear in the Witcher 3
Looking at the countless collection of swords that accumulate in the witcher's chest as the game progresses, I thought it would be interesting to make a mod for irreversible wear of weapons - so that swords could be repaired not endlessly, but a limited number of times, after which they would finally and irrevocably break. This would give weapons a sense of value, which is currently lacking.

For example, a simple sword could be repaired 2-3 times, a master sword - 4-5 times, a relic sword - 6-7 times, a grandmaster witcher sword - 8-9 times. The cost of repairing a unique sword should be close to the cost of making a regular sword according to a blueprint and be at least 60% of it. The cost of repairing those swords that are made according to blueprints - workshops, witchers, etc. - should be about 20-30% of the cost of manufacture. Otherwise, it will turn out that it is easier to churn out new swords than to repair the existing one.

A completely worn-out witcher or simple sword should break - disappear, and some of the components needed to craft the same sword should end up in the inventory. A completely worn-out unique relic sword should also break, but since it cannot be crafted using a blueprint, let the inventory contain exactly as many components as you get when disassembling it in a forge.

Perhaps some unique swords - arondit, Iris, keymaster's shovel, Hattori sword - should have an infinite repair resource. Although for me it would still be more interesting for them to wear out, too.

I think the witcher should take out of the inventory during combat after breaking the sword closest in parameters to the broken one in order to continue the fight. Self-repair kits, since there are too many of them in the game, should either be removed or their action should be rethought somehow.

The screenshots show most of the swords in the game, they are almost never repeated here, since I sold or disassembled many copies during the game. And still, there are too many swords, there are not so many enemies in the game to use up this collection even if the swords break.

Unfortunately, I myself do not have the necessary knowledge or technical capabilities to develop mods. Therefore, I offer this topic as an idea to the masters of modding The Witcher 3.
