Modding Research Trees
New to modding, and looking this up seems to not come up with any actual answers?

Trying to mod a couple of Tier 1 units to effectively be "Tier 0". Modding the buildings to not require research to produce those units hasn't had any issues, but I haven't had luck removing the research from the research tree.

Can this be done without altering the base game files (i.e., only changing the mod files)? If so, how?

Add `visible=0` in the upgrade. Check Tyranids/CityProduction.xml for an example.

I'd tried that before, but it seems I must've made a mistake when I did so, as it's working now.
