Is it possible to mod affect AI players only?
Is it possible to create trait or other "parameter" that would apply to factions played by AI only?

What I have in mind is to apply different loyalty bonuses/multipliers to each faction. For example I always find Tyranids easier and Chaos Space Marines harder to play against. I worked around that by giving them higher/lower difficulty settings when creating a new game, but it won't work when choosing random enemy factions.

I am aware I could also modify loyalty bonues of their factions in xml files and that's what I will probably do now, however it would give me those modifiers when I play those factions myself and in the future I want to play "random vs random".
So it would be great if there was some way to have those settings apply only, when faction is played by AI - is that possible?

I'm fairly sure it is possible, but I can't remember where something like that is implemented.

ItemsForAI is where I've seen it most recently.

<conditions> <player> <aiControlled/> </player> </conditions>

Can't say for sure if it really works though, never played with mod active yet.

This works perfectly! I have quickly tested it by modifying trait that's increasing buildings loyalty from Increased City Loyalty mod and above condition made it work for AI buildings only.
