Any way to slow down enemy carrier

Folks, is there a mod setting to reduce the speed/progress of the enemy carrier for learning purposes? I know I can turn if off completely but it would be more fun just to slow its progress down. Thanks

Not really no, you can of course just make a bigger map to give you more time. Or better still, learn with some humans. Failing that, you can save/reload games
