Stats of Horses

Hi all,
I am looking for a way to change the stats of some of the purchasable horses since I don´t like the look of the horses with the best stats but don´t want to ride a crappy horse. Any advice how to change the stats, maybe with an existing mod or changing of some scripts?

There's a few horse mods on Nexus you can look at and modify to your liking. One that I've used is Better Horses.
