just out of curiosity though, are you using vscripting for this or just hammer logic entities?
Hammer. I use a simple spherical brush, and made it as a physic_override entity, which breaks on touch. Originally it was supposed to be explosive, but the rocks turned to be better! I know nothing about scripting unfrotunately. Also, it makes no sense to look into vmf, since I found the reason why this happening (we all know that we can't place portal on moving surfaces, it's Portal's logic, so when the rock hits NEAR the portal, the portal considers it somehow as an attempt to combine ground and the rock as two brushes on hit, so portal goes off). Although this works. When rock removes your portal, you place your secondary portal AT FIRST, then the primary portal to the rock landing spot, and your portal gets removed only if you weirdly contact/collide with the rock and portal. But I will fix that somehow, while working on the rest of the map. The map is minecraft styled by the way (including models, playermodels, and materials). Thank you for reading this! I feel like a genius now, this is really something good of me, I hope to finish the map whenever I get chance!
sounds cool. :)
thanks! :)
