More shields (eden 2)
The bigger your ship do you get more shields per shield generator?

I cant seem to figure it out.

You need shield boosters to increase your shield health pool, and shield chargers to increase the recharge. Both give minor penalties to the other, so you have to have a mix of the two, but you can lean more on shield recharge, or sheer shield health, or a mix.

Additionally, larger ships comprised of denser armor will receive additional maximum shield HP, making those heavily-armored battleships also more heavily shielded. Though the added shield strength doesn't cancel out all that extra mass you also have to move.
