Solar Panels
Hey guys kind of a silly question: Playing RE2 if I have a set of solar panels on the ground generating electricity, am I able to build a second level platform above those panels to build more instead of sprawling them out further? I know you have a limit to how many you can build so it wont be infinite sprawl Im just more curious to see if the panels being blocked by something makes them not work. Thanks in advance

In real life? No, you can't put solar panels in shade. In this game? Makes no difference. You can even design bases where they are underground and they still work.
Orientation to the sun? That does make a difference, though.

yea i saw that about the orientation. Thanks for the quick response :)
This is something I experimented with a lot a long time ago. I even had some bases where the panels were underground, but I stopped doing that. It just seemed too cheesy. :)
It also helps when you realize you can Ctr-n and put panels not connected to the base.

lol yea im not going to do that but i kinda wanna stack them. You know what I COULD do is flip them 90 degrees and build them up a wall like a trellis as long as they are facing the right direction to the sun

By the way, beware of mountains if you are not near the equator, the shadows of mountains do seem to make a difference at least sometimes.

No, it makes no difference. I experimented with that also.
BTW, why was this moved to the Workshop discussions? The OP is playing RE2 but this topic has nothing to do with RE2. This is a vanilla game issue. Please move it back, moderator.
And if someone is asking a RE2 question move it to the RE2 discussion forum. Not the general Workshop forum. You just make things harder than they already are. :-/
