A most troublesome and incomprehensible issue which I would appreciate other perspectives on
The AI never drills, and refuses to pay off corruption, not only that but the ai is also exceedingly willing to debase currency for whatever it deems necessary. Xorme-AI attempts to address much of this, but in reality fails entirely to do so. If you look within defines of either the base game or the defines of xorme ai - xorme ai economy you will find modifiers such as CORRUPTION_BUDGET_FRACTION, DESIRED_DEFICIT, DESIRED_SURPLUS, MAX_SAVINGS, etc. The problem is that none of these actually matter at all, they literally don't do anything. I have ran extensive tests, I have isolated all variables running stuff like only xorme-ai by itself so I'm sure that there is no sort of mod conflict, I have ran extensive tests to determine that these values are meaningless ghost values which literally affect nothing whatsoever. They have no impact, whether practically any of these are either 1000 or 0 doesn't matter literally at all in regards to the things which they're actually supposed to affect. Others I have spoken to have speculated that these are simply left over lines of text that the developers neglected to remove from their code, unintentionally giving the impression that someone attempting to mod the game could use those modifiers to alter key behavior of the ai, however they are in reality non-functional. Regardless of the reality of these modifiers from the games base-files, what is undeniable is the players ability to through modding legitimately affect the ai's behavior in regards to drilling.

Now that background has been established I will get to the real purpose of this, I would like to hear others experiences with ai drilling, if they notice non-subject ai actually reasonably drilling. Because, even if i'm running zero mods, in all my tests the ai refuses to drill under any circumstances as well as of course pay off the debt which they accrue through debasing for money which they of course didn't need literally at all while maximizing their surplus through lowering army and naval maintenance completely regardless of how large their surplus actually is. In all of my tests it doesn't matter if the ai is making a surplus of like 40 ducats a month and raising to full maintenance would put that down to 20 ducats a month, they will still not only refuse to drill ever for literally any reason but also refuse to pay off corruption. There are so few posts complaining about a lack of ai drilling, which to me gives off the impression that other people for some reason aren't having this issue or simply don't notice or don't care.
