Idk how to fix this
So idk how to fix this but when i open the government tab to look at the council the game drops to 4 to 9 frames it seems to happen on anything when there are more than one animated portrait on screen. Is there any fix for this????

I have a good kit too so it can't be that if your wondering the kit its a RTX 4080 super and a Ryzen 9 7950X3D

never had this issue, and I'm still lugging around the same laptop I was a couple of years ago.
ok so its fixed then cause i just checked to see if this still persists 4 to 6 Years later because it used to be when you load any modded animated portraits the game decides to say ITS TIME and proceed to drop to those frames. i probably should have clarified better but i typed this up at 6 in the morning so ....um yea.:CryingGhost:

every panel with animated species portraits seems to currently be killing performance. i lose fps when opening council, planet view, ships, etc.

If you want the fps back, this is how you do it. Devs ain't gonna fix it.

There may be a mod that makes all portraits static, removes other animations as well.

i think ik the one your talking about but other than that idk i remember a mod doing exactly that but i don't remember the name
