Does Vanilla Expanded have notable stability issues?
I heard that the Vanilla Expanded series of mods can cause compatibility and stability issues, especially if you use all of their mods together. is any of this correct or is that all outdated information?

if so, I might use just their armor, clothing, & weapon mods since they seem neat and don't sound like they'd cause a lot of issues.

You can generally rely on things working unless specifically made clear to be incompatible. Of all the mods to be reported as being incompatible with another mod, Vanilla Expanded is most likely to be noticed. Generally, you can find out if a mod wouldn't work with a VE mod.

I would say it is still wise to use as little of them as possible though, just because of how overwhelming they all can be at once.

If you just use a couple of general content mods like VFE Pirates and Vanilla Armour Expanded, then it'll be fine. If you, on top of that, use a few mechanical overhauls like VFE Empire/Deserters or Vanilla Psycasts Expanded, or Vanilla Trading Expanded, it'll still not be too bad. It only seems to get to be too much when you add pretty much everything that has even one neat-looking thing in it.

I see. I had most of the mods downloaded but I had yet to add them to a modlist in-game since I wanted to play Rimworld without much content-adding mods just yet. Now that I know that, I am gonna toss the plants and cooking mods, among other stuff and keep the base equipment mods (among perhaps a handful of other VE mods if they intrigue me enough)
