A while ago, I was thinking of recreating WH40K Dawn of War Dark Crusade in Ancient Warfare 3, but I gave up before long. First of all, there'd be creating all of the units in each of the races, which wouldn't be a problem if their stats were made to match Dark Crusade (I actually recreated every infantry unit of the Space Marines and almost every infantry unit of the Imperial Guard). I put a squad of Imperial Guard up against a squad of Space Marines (both of their sizes equal to a minimum squad size in Dark Crusade), and the Imperial Guard got their a$$e$ blasted straight back to Cadia. It takes a second at most for them to drop without taking out a single space marine. Probably lore accurate, but not game accurate. Plus, the workshop content for 40K (which is entirely what I used) is very mixed in it's quality. I had surprisingly great success with the space marines, being able to recreate all of the infantry units in good quality (I had to use some assets from Ancient Warfare 3 itself, but it was few), while I found almost nothing at all for the Eldar, good or bad. So of course, what I'd need to do is to create this stuff myself, but the problem with that is obvious. I don't have the care to learn how to make models for this game, and the map, and all the scripting required for this.

So I'm curious, would anybody want to recreate Dark Crusade inside of Ancient Warfare 3? If anyone is, I'd be really happy to hear that, though I wouldn't be surprised if not. I don't even know if it is possible to recreate the whole thing. I don't just mean the battles, that alone might be impossible do to the base building, unit spawning, and unit selection. But what's gonna be even harder is the map, having a non-linear campaign like in Dark Crusade is probably gonna be a nightmare to make, having territory to take and defend and special ones giving you special bonuses and strongholds instead of just mission #1, mission #2. And also the commander war gear and honor guards and requisition for pre-battle structures, d#mn. I'm sure at least for now it's impossible to do even a close recreation, but if anybody wants to try, I'd be glad. Please credit me for the idea if you got the idea to do it from me, and please thank the Emperor if you do succeed at recreating it.
