Workshop is Slowly Getting Swamped by Reuploads
As one of the two people who actually daily checks all new Workshop uploads, there's been an upward trend in reuploads not being taken down to the point it's easily outpacing any actual content. It's also to the point where it'll occasionally leach onto the front page and even effects the 3-month most popular section.

I can safely say this is due to the fact that there are essential zero active moderators. Here's my list of moderators that I know of:

- (Nothing_Cool) He's on quite rarely, and from what I'm aware he's exclusively forums, so doesn't really mean anything here anyway.

- (doge_sevens) I haven't seen him on BR in ages, he has likely moved on in life, good for him, but not good for BR Workshop moderation.

- (Alex Monamochamuch) He does good when he is here, but he basically leaves for six month periods, I suspect he's in the army.

That's every moderator that I'm aware of that's actually been active in the past three years.

Now, I ain't pointing fingers at anyone in specific, but somebody let the Flupster know that we need some actual fresh meat patrolling the Workshop who won't quit two months after being appointed.

I'll also bring up again that I check the Workshop daily and am a fairly well respected member of the community who refuses to leave. Hint, hint, wink, wink.

i also check most recent every day, and can confirm that theres around 3 self-made good quality uploads per day, and the remaining 20 or so is reuploads
but given that theres so many, dealing with them would be a pain in the ass. you can see why noone does anything about it
Then you won't have time to make any more content, your time will be taken up with your moderator duties, heh, i said doodies.
While I'm here, I'm also gonna throw in a link to my collection of every reupload of my own personal Workshop content for if a moderator decides to actually show up.

Still would be better than what we currently have.
I think it is gonna have to be Ai trained to look at all the uploads and compare them once a month, the first posted wins, content that has more than 49 percent similarity to previously made content not made by the same author gets flagged and sent a community message to hide it or private it or remove it, next pass if it is still there it get's the old incompatibility label, third pass if it hasn't been hidden privated or removed, it automatically gets removed.

Now you have a system that clears up the old violations and keeps the new violations cleaned up also. The monthly time period will give holders of legitimate copies given to friends or collaborators to apply for exemptions, now the moderator just handles exemptions and manual examination when errors are made by the Ai.
I can't edit, insert time between collaborators and to apply, add a comma between hidden and privated.

Not gonna happen, Ai isn't actually going to get useful for the next ten or so years, right now it's just a flashy way to get stonks.
I have never played around with Ai but i am sure it can be trained to do all those things and after the first painful pass the monthly process would get faster, maybe even as fast as the malicious content checker.

I was going to break down all the decisions it needed to make, all easily handled by Ai but i am too lazy and deleted what i already had. I need an Ai headband that lets me type with my mind.

Shellnut: Ai is funny because it's completely incapable at being accurate.
They're working on it, some of it comes from the fact that the english language has many multi meaning words and slang that has worked it's way into mainstream use and even been added to dictionaries.
Personally, I'm just waiting for actual Ai tools to arrive. Like, something that can make 2d images into 3d models with meshes and things and can actually fine tune it to how you need it. Or, like, tools that can animate a walk cycle or something.

They're a villainous corporation. I'm sticking to Krita.
