AI is creating unrealistic slopes

I have an issue building towns on mountainous maps. The AI keeps generating roads that go almost vertically down the hills, which looks extremely unrealistic, and I find myself having to constantly delete and edit roads whenever a town expands because the AI decides to build it that way. It also has a bad habit of placing houses into the mountainside with no road connections. Is there a mod that stops this behavior?

Hi, I'd say it's a mod that's causing that, but post a screenshot of it.

In the vanilla game the max gradient/slope of roads is the same on mountains as anywhere else on the map. Roads will take a very winding path on steep mountain slopes.

There are mods in the Workshop to limit road and rail slopes, but I don't know if it will fix the issue you have if it's caused by another mod.
