The game limits you to only having 75 custom nations, and since I'm autistic I always end up reaching that cap pretty early, so I wanted to create a mod that removes that cap.

From what I've learned just from looking at the Eu4 wiki and some YouTube tutorials, I would really only need to copy the syntax related to the custom nations cap, and ensure that the game refers to the mod cap and not the base game cap. (As for why I haven't tried this yet, I have work, so I figured that I'd make a discussion here and check on it once I get off).
