how do you convert notepad (txt) files to pot?
the guide says notepad can be used to edit the text files (which translate to .pot, then again to .po) numerous times, but after converting, copying, and deleting for the past hour i've gotten nowhere. can someone smarter than me tell me what i'm doing wrong? >~<

You need to change your folder view settings to show file name extensions. Then you can rename the file with the desired extension. View > Show > File name extensions
