# For new mods idea's
Well i will start here a discusion for new mod idea's for all

I got no knowleg in modding so i start posting some of my ideas:

Mod that allows the player to sort the players habits stations and ships alpha numeric by the names of the stations/ships (got allredy over 30 stations and didnt move in story to devries)(Patched by Egosoft 03/13/2015)

Mod that give station managers the rigth to buy transport ships on theyre own by selecting how many of each kind he needs.
or shut them up talking it takes aabout 1 min for each ship to select and deliver new commander (good by some ships bad when over 100 ships) take forever

New Station like:
Ice-Fab-Matrix => produce energy cells and Ice
Minerals-Trading-Post => got space for all kind of minerals, minners does collecting and bring in thery goods to get sold Kinda like a old x2 x3 trading post
Chem-Fab => produce plasma and ion cells and chemy

Or direct a programm from egosoft that allows the user to easly bild stations on his own because the diffrend moduls are always the same.

special ships like:
Ice miner got integratet water production so it produce direct water

ship update like:
gigurum and other small ships does regenerate slowly they're armor like 2% all 6min

add-on on for mods where you can build shipjard
quests to get more shipplans or direct in a dlc witch adds new sectors, shipjards and then those shipplan quest to build them on your own shipjard.

Requesting a mod that makes it posible to claim ships without a pilot (like in the old games) the back and forth for pilots is annoying.

A mod which adds "Interstellar" soundtrack to the game would be awesome :) With dynamic music during fights and peaceful while simply flying around.

i can do this one i think.. but i need some more information... where do you want to be able to build this ship... what kind of storage shoudl it have.. what do you want the ship to look like... what should producing the water from ice cost... what should the cycle time for production be... these are design questions... ill post a link to my refinery ship so you can see what i have done to that and see what you think... feel free to message me or post on that about stuff you want...

in this mod i used a ship i relaly liked the design lay out of and that kinda fit the back story that i wanted to create and then designed a production factory that had a 1minute cycle time and used a differnt method than the stations... just because i wanted to change up the recources used... if i din't want to change stuff i can use the same method as any station....

Base Specs for project: Ice Refinery Ship
im going to reuse the design and layout from the Canteran Refinery Ship but going to change out some storage for a energy cell production facility and a water production facility.

cycle time for both productions will be 1 minute so every minute this ship will produce something if it has the recources...

bonuses will be similiar to the Canteran Refinery Ship.

you didn;t ask but honestly i think this ship has limited value because water prices typically in the games i play are rock bottom for both buying and selling so im going to create a way to inflate the prices a bit by ajusting canteras water usage... their habitats will suck water up at a higher rate... meaning they will want more of it creating demand.

also im going to make this only buildable at HOA and ROC ship yards.. this ship can be used as as an anti figher ship and its very effective... so it will not be given to plutarg....

i should have it done tomarrow just wanted to give you my stats on it so if you reply you have so idea what i am building.

Think someone could come up with a salvage ship to help clean up the wrecks floating around? Would provide a nice boost to your own economy if done right.

i don't think you know how complicated that might be to write... the first thing that would have to happen is that wrecks would have to become like asteroids... without effecting the ship before the ship is destroyed... once they are destoryed i would need a way to target wrecks.... which if it gives as much fight as targeting missles has given me it will be a hard task.... next a graphical destruction where large ships and small ships break up into fragments will need to be created...
then you need to add the recource colection to the UI files wich is not XML so most moders will struggle because it uses a C++ style code there. then you need ot write the scripts for harvesting the material which is not hard they can be used in XML if you got that you should be bale to make it work in theroy..im just bogged down on a new mining script so i can't do it and thne i got 2 or 3 other projects that i agreed to do...and i need to finish before i take on more...

that being said if soem one makes progress i can build them the ship with an onboard recource factory to covert salvage to what ever recources.... if they want... it takes me less than an hour to configure my production ship design into a new ship with a new factory or purpose...

I'm really liking the design of some of the Canteran cap ships but they are lacking in guns and armor. I like the look of the Lepton the most and would like a combat oriented version of that. Perhaps a stronger Sucellus design as well. Perhaps name one design Pegasus and the other Gryphon?

Well, the Lepton only has two HIT/MA turrets and two forcefield projectors on it so I'm thinking the combat version of the Lepton could be between the light and heavy Sul in terms of firepower, hull, shield, etc. Would like this one to be the Pegasus class. The two HIT/MA turrets that are on the Lepton are positioned on the 'top' near the back of the ship. Would like the added turrets to be along the edges of the top and bottom spread out from front to back in groups of three or four.

For the Gryphon, up-armored and gunned Sucellus, I would like to have mostly HIT/MA turrets and a small number of Plasma/MA turrets added along with force fields to bring the weapon count up to that of the Taranis destroyer, maybe a few more. The offset would be having a little less hull and shielding than the Taranis. Again, would like the guns spread out along the edges of the top and bottom in groups.

I'll let you decide on the exact number of guns each would have. If there is a bevelled edge IE the corner was cut off to make an extra side, I would like the guns there. I'm not in DeVries at the moment and it will be a while before I'm back there so I don't have easy access to either to look at.

10-4 construction comencing...ship Pegasus will be construction acording ot specifications... will be a defrees only build unless your order other wise...

I was kinda expecting them to be built only by a Canteran shipyard.
