Step by step guide for tweaking race/classes

Any chance someone can give me a resource link, video, or can post a little tutorial on how to edit a class or add a new one?

I am now sure how complicated or simple this might be but any informed person who would like to share any details would be most helpful.

You probably should just download any simple addon that adds a new race, unpack it and look at the files.
Together with the guides on the wiki (http://te4.org/wiki/Main_Page) you should be able to figure most of it out.
If you then still have questions, come visit our IRC channel (http://mibbit.com/#tome@irc.rizon.net) where other modders will be able to help you with specific questions.
