I renamed weapons with a language mod. With a extracted language.csv file from the source code. You can change every text, you see in game:
1. Start the game --► Mod Manager --► Mod Editor --► the first symbol at the top left with a + sign --► add new feature: "Localization" --► link where you want to drop your lanuage file. Close edior & game.
2. Google nexusmods, set games filter for JA3, search for the mod "Deutsch Plus", download it (Steam autodelete my posts with nexuslinks).
3. Open downloaded file, open the path "Originale", choose your language (but dont change the file name!), move it in your linked path, in your mod.
4. Use a texeditor to edit the file. To check your changes you must restart the game. It will not be automatic refreshed in game, while editing it.
