Exactly and I'm wondering why those options haven't been added yet. I'm probably not looking hard enough but I have seen like two well made games in a pool of 900+ that are meant to be taken seriously.

They are! At least last time I checked on the right hand side of the RPGMaker VX Ace workshop menu.

I do basic mapping so it is hard for me to click on assets only. (Custom housing!) So I guess I might be part of thje problem altought you can read well what ity is all about there XD

And then an 'inbetween' as that's where my game falls under. Some characters as serious as could be, and others...well...just downright insane.

When a game has humor it doesn't necessarily fall under the category "fungames". Fungames are the kind of games that make no sense whatsoever, not even within the game itself. I'd even consider games like Banjo-Kazooie as games to be taken seriously as they deliver serious gameplay and only break the fourth wall so many times.

Fungames just don't make sense and are just supposed to be funny.
