Questions I would like answered about building a track. Can you help?
I have a few questions. I have seen a number of effects from other tracks that I have been unable to emulate. Maybe Im an idiot, and maybe ya'll can help.

1. First of all, Ive seen various checkpoint graphics than the regular semi arch/circle type. How can I change this?

2. I am unable to find a way to change car power capabilities (thrusters/wings/jump etc.), from one part of my level to the next, though I have seen it done in other levels? How can I make certain areas flyable, and others not?

3. I cant figure out how to get my saw blades to move back and forth? This has to be something very simple but for the life of me I cant find it.

4. Is there a way to change music, within a level?

5. I have one point in my track in which the path is guided by a number of laser floaters, but no matter how much I turn down the lens glare, it is impossible to see them due to an obnoxious lighting effect that seems to happen when they are grouped up. Any tips?

1. You have to create your own checkpoints :D There is a "novisualscheckpoint" object somewhere in the library. Find that and then proceed to add your own "checkpoints" using simples and other varius shapes :)

2. This is an object called something along the lines of "wingcorruptionzone" it can be found in various refract official tracks. open one of them up and copy the object with [Ctrl + C] and paste it in [Ctrl + V] once you load up your own level :)

3. The only saw object capable of moving back and forth is the "backandforthsaw" found under infected obstacles :) you are most likely trying to find an option on the "empiresaw" object. That is not possible so far :/

4. Some of the teleporters in the official levels are capable of this. Can't remember what they are called though :/ should be in the level with the horroish theme and the teleporter drone thingy

5. Colors can be the cause of bloom/flare just as much as lens flare specific options and light options. Try making some of the actual colors of the object darker or more transparent (using the two sliders on the sides of the spectrum picker". Or now that i think about it, i remember being unable to remove the same effect on some of the lasers. so it might just be impossible. idk.

Hope i was able to help you out :) feel free to add me on steam for direct support if anything else comes to mind ;)

The WingCorruptionZone is available in the root directory of the library. You can enable abilities previously disabled in the level options with the EnableAbilitiesBox (found in official levels such as Broken Symmetry), but it has no visual indication of its own, and there's no way to disable them again (besides the WingCorruptionZone).

These teleporters (TeleporterAndAmbientChangeTrigger, also accessible from the library) don't actually include this functionality; they just change the ambient colors and etc. What you want is the MusicTrigger, which can be found in the official level Broken Symmetry. A list of MusicIDs to use with this object is available here[survivethedistance.com].

Don't hesitate to shoot out any further questions you have!
