Want spoken dialogue to your mods? Deadline 22nd May
Hi folks,

We're doing English voice recordings soon-ish, probably in the last week of May or beginning of June. We've also been checking out some mods and are quite impressed at the quality of them (mostly VonRickroll's Zoya's Training Ground, but also some mods that we have seen to be in development (hidden from public at the moment)). Some of the Trine EE and Trine 2 mods have also been very nice!

So we had a crazy idea - we could record some spoken dialogue for mods if you guys are interested. We would then add the dialogue to be part of Trine 3: TAOP and you could use them in mods for the game. It's very simple to do (even I can do it!) so it's a nice way to add some extra polish to any mod. We will probably create help videos at some point as well so it will be very easy.

The available characters are NARRATOR, AMADEUS, PONTIUS, and ZOYA.

So, what do you think? Anybody interested? :)

The Heroes are transported to the outskirts of the Astral Academy, which was shown in the introduction cinematic as the stage of possession disturbances.

AMADEUS
I'm supposed to be on holiday! But when the Trine comes, we can't help but obey.

PONTIUS
I was in the middle of a daring rescue myself.

AMADEUS
We seem to be at the outskirts of the Astral Academy.

ZOYA
This is no good place for an adventure, I've already pinched everything.

We don't want to put any restrictions on length etc, but in reality we're expecting just a few lines per mod/level, for example a level setup dialogue and ending dialogue.

We would need the lines by Friday the 22nd of May (or that weekend).

Creativity is welcome. :)

Some other musings/restrictions

We reserve the right to reject any dialogue if we feel it's inappropriate, or edit them to our liking, and at this stage we cannot guarantee 100% that we'll be able to do this or record all the proposed lines etc.

These lines probably won't get localized to other languages so they'd remain English only for now.

If you'd need some other character than the main 4 (such as TRINE or SAREK), we can see if that's possible but can't promise it...

We may or may not have another voice recording session later, depending on how many story-related changes there are in the summer. And if you want to wait months or years, then I'm sure there will be more opportunities too. :)

Anyhow, let's see if there's interest in this! :)

Nah. Will be better dlc/upgrade/enhanced from store page or just default update with top users mods/levels with deadline in autumn or winter, after game release (deadline 1-2 month after release). From store page/update will play much more users, from workshop mostly fanatics. Before release not much activity here, mostly stupid questions and bug reports.

joshua.moudy.39 thanks, that line doesn't quite fit Amadeus's character as a single oneliner, however we wrote a small conversation around the catchphrase (with a slightly different idea). We might implement it in a specific co-op situation... So thanks for the suggestion. :)

Submissions are now closed, didn't get that many yet but let's see if we'll have a new session sometime in the future around or after the game's release, perhaps that will spark more interest. We wrote a few (easter egg) lines of our own spurred by this so let's see how many we manage to implement...
