[edit1]
Ok, we found the radio... however it wouldn't let us interact with it as I mentioned before. Out of frustration I threw a granade at it and hey presto the thing lit up so we could interact with it and our phones buzzed to say that we need to repair it. Wow we were just about to exit out thinking it was bugged!
[edit2]
Well we died because we couldn't turn the last light on... it was too high up the radio tower and we couldn't reach it. We tried jumping at it from all angles and eventually got overrun. Very frustrating.
[edit3]
Oh and forgot to mention that the ladder leading up to the radio tower to turn the lights on suddenly disappeared at some point so we could no longer get back up there to have another try once we dropped down. Again, very frustrating and buggy.

2] All you really need is one spot light, the more spot lights you turn on the less time you have to hold out til the helicopter gets there.
3] I have played and beaten Hotz numerous times and I have never seen this glitch. Did you have other glitches with your playthrough? Missing textures? If so maybe you don't have all 3 workshop items subscribed to.
Hmm it should only lit up when you repaired the radio. Need to test this out.
You need to climb up on something first and then jump to turn on the last one. Turning the lights on only reduces the holdout time :) Each lightspots will reduce the holdout time a little.
The ladder was destroyed by the zombies. Please don't refer everything as a bug XD
I tried pressing E on it from every angle. After I threw a granade at it, then it lit up and I could press E on it. At which point the phone buzzed to say we need to radio for help. Then it buzzed again to tell us we need to fix the radio. So we went to the phone and it was lit up for us to interact with.
We tried getting up on the ledge and jumping at it, but no good. I don't mind trying to work out tricky things, but doing it when you are surrounded is more frustrating than fun.
BTW, how long are you supposed to hold out for until rescue arrives? We turned on all but 1 light and stayed alive for some time before giving up thinking it was buggy again.
Ok, sorry about that. In my defence, I've never seen a ladder broken by the zombies before (and I've played all the official maps), so after that happened and with the buggy radio my first assumption was, oh no... another bug.
I'm annoyed as we gave up and let ourselves die as we thought that because of the "buggy" ladder we couldn't get to the last light, which would mean it would never end. It wasn't explained very well. Perhaps the phone message should say something like "the more lights you can turn on the quicker we can rescue you" or something like that. Also, when the ladder breaks you should replace it with a broken ladder model so it is obvious, otherwise it just looks like a bug. We are frustrated that we have to go through the entire map again just to have another attempt at that spot.
Everything is installed correctly and haven't run into any missing textures, map looks great. However this is not the first time it has been buggy for us. That was probably our 20th attempt at this map. For example, one time we had to get a ladder. We found it and it was lit up, but we couldn't interact with it. We tried looking at it from every angle and jumping but just couldn't get it to respond, so we had to quit out and restart. We find that ladders are always hard to interact with. You usually have to jump at them from a very specific angle.
We also usually end up having to restart at the start as one of us will start the game with no weapon?!? To be honest, having player's weapons and the start room's weapons and items randomize so much is not a great idea as it just encourages people to restart if they don't get the weapons or items they want. In our case we've restarted probably 8 times as we've started with one person with no weapon and nothing of use in the start room. There is no incentive to continue with the mission when one person has no weapon... :-)
Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention is that there is no med kit in the nurses office, which seems a bit odd. Every time one of us is running low on health we think, "oh quick go to the nurses office... wait, there is never a med kit there!" I think thematically it would make sense to find one there instead of in some random office or something like that. Just an idea.
Yeah just climb on the ledge and jump then press the action button when the lightspot change the glow to green to activate the spotlight. You can do that when you have the 2 min break until hold out.
Like I said before, nothing is buggy here. You need to hold out for 7 min if you pressed all the lightspots. Each lightspot will reduce 1 min of the holdout time. The horde aren't infinite, you can kill them all and activate the lightspot later too.
That is actually a good idea! Thx =) I don't have a model for it but I will see what I can do about it.
This is strange :S I played over 40 times on my server and that never happened to me.
Ok I will keep an eye on this issue.
I dunno which version you are playing but in the newest update you only need to climb up on something and press the action key when it change the glow to grab the ladder.
That would be very unrealistic but I get your point.
There is a medkit in the medical storage room (where you open it with the keycard) but not in every round. (50/50 spawnrate)
I hope that helps and thanks for the feedback! :)
The diner is all barred up so we can't get into it. So we climbed through the grill and found a power box on the wall that needs to be repaired. We then found the tools. After interacting with the tools, we get a message on our phone that says "let's meet back at the broken power box." So we all head back there and... nothing. The power box isn't lit up and we can't interact with it. The tools keep respawning and we keep going back there and nothing happens.
We tried to go to the library but both doors of the library are locked. So we searched around for keys and can't find any. There are no keys anywhere, even in the office that you have to drop down through the roof to get into. So we can't get into the library or the diner and therefore can't get enough food to continue.
So guess we need to restart for attempt number 22... this is getting very long in the tooth.
Same thing happens in Roanoke PD. There's a medical room which tends to house more grenades and 9mm ammo than medkits for some inexplicable reason.
Really 20 times? I see on your profile you have a grand total of 1.2 hours played. I have never gotten through a Hotz map in less then 45 minutes. So either you are vastly exaggerating your experience just to support your buggy claim or you are running thru the map as fast as you can, thus missing everythng. Take your time, go slow, look at your surroundings, experience the game before coming on here and complaining about the best workshop map ever created.
[Moved in Workshop discussions.]
That's because this is the steam account I have on my laptop, since steam won't let you log into the same account on both your laptop and desktop. My desktop account has 37 hours on it for this game.
My intention is not to complain, but to give feedback based on "our" experiance of playing through the map. If you played through it first go with no problems, that's great, but this is our experiance and I'm relating it to the developer of the map as perhaps it might help him to refine some aspects of it in some way.
Trust me guys, we do search very carefully and are not rushing the map. We've only got close to the end once and that took almost 2 hours. Most of our attempts have been due to restarting within 10 minutes becuase something went horribly wrong or becuase one of us started with no weapon or something silly like that.
