3D Model Requests
Not everyone knows how to model objects and some modelers love to create stuff for other people. So that's where this thread comes into play.

If you'd like to have someone make models for you, please post your requests here.

Keep in mind that people are doing this in their free time and it takes some time, so please be patient while they create models for you.

1) Post your requests.

2) Artists will respond if they can take on your project. (From this point on, add each other and discuss outside the forums.)

3) Edit your post that you have an artist working with you, so other artists are aware that it's a work in progress.

4) Once completed, please edit your post again with a big giant [COMPLETED] at the top. Feel free to also offer praise of the artist who did your work.

5) Please give credit where credit is due! Once you have uploaded your mod, please credit the artist who created your models.

6) Artists - please follow through! If you accept a project, please complete it!

Have fun!

I don't know if this would be doable or not, but I'd love it if someone made Arkham Horror investigator figurines. They're the ones with the circle bases here[store.fantasyflightgames.com]. There are 48 of them total, so it's a big request, but it can take a while as far as I'm concerned. It's taking me a while to update the mod with better cards and stuff as it is.

I'm sure others with Arkham and Eldritch Horror mods would appreciate them as well.

Wow, that's a big job for no pay. You might want to comission someone through boardgamegeek for that. If I had the pieces myself, I'd scan them with my 3D colour scanner.

I know. I'm fine with no models at all in the mod. If someone wants to do it, though, or even part of it, I'm not going to turn them down, though.

I'm on mobile, but I'd like to see some of the godstorm risk pieces recreated or modeled.... there is 3 unit types (don't need to be colored, I will just use color wheel in game) and then the 4 gods. I'll post the image for them when I get home, I can't post the image at my phone.

I've been trying to import vehicles but for some reason my .obj to pastebin and .raw to tabletop isn't working. It leaves me with a white square. Know how to fix this or anyone willing to get some vehicles in? Talking race car type vehicles.

Head you read both of these wiki pages on custom models?

Thanks for making this thread devs, I'm reasonably good at creating my own 2D art assets for mods but not models. I have a couple of abstract games that need some simple models:

Item 1: I'd really like some stackable cups preferably in the style of disposable coffee cups from vending machines, I also need them to be UV mapped such that the texture on the bottom side of the cup can be easily customised. It would also be nice if the collision mesh was such that, when stacked the height of the stack could be easily determined by eye (height of stack is important for the game mechanic).

Item 2: I specifically need a set of four hexes stuck together in a 2x2 pattern for a "build your own board" game where players take turns building the board before starting the game proper. Other people might welcome premade hex patterns of other sizes.

I can take that paper/styrofoam cup on, Dissonance. My only worry is that the cups might stack funny because I don't know how chip stacking works for hollow objects. But I guess we'll find out soon enough. either way, it shouldn't be hard to make those things. Add me and we'll talk.

Thanks! The chip stacking behaviour works against the mechanic of this game in that currently chips reorder themselves when stacked together such that chips of the same colour migrate and stick together in the merged stack regardless of their order in the parent stacks.

In the case of the game I have in mind this isn't appropriate because the top cup in the stack denotes its owner for the purposes of who can move it. If the chip behaviour is used the top cup could change when they are merged together, I've already posted a request to have this behaviour changed. I was hoping that the the shape of the cups would allow them to be stacked comfortably by hand which would allow them to remain a generic object. They will also be kept snapped to a hexagonal grid.

Dissonance is the hex pieces for heroscape? :)
Dissonance 37 3 Jan, 2015 @ 12:28pm
LOL no I'm afraid not. Item 1 is for Cappuccino, item 2 is for Splits/Battlesheep. Assuming I get the models I'll be expanding both out to 6 players and have some nice new original for Cappuccino.

If you get the models made can i borrow them for hero scape with friends :)
Dissonance 37 4 Jan, 2015 @ 7:29am
I think heroscape terrain does definitely need to be done, the pieces don't need to be interlocking like the actual game pieces since grid snap should keep things alligned, they can just be regular hexagons. So the minimum you need for Heroscape is a thick hex tile with an easy UV map that allows you to customise the texture for different terrain, that can be stacked like chips.

I know there were also larger arrangements of terrain hexes provided in the master sets (2 hex, 3 hex, 7 hex and 24 hex) but are they really necessary? For trees, walls and such I'm sure there's enough in existing RPG props on the workshop to make up a master set.

For those not familiar with the game a heroscape hex tile is 1.74" face to face and 0.5" tall, a model for Tabletop Simulator would need similar proportions.

Would also need character cards set up - another thing we could probably get away with a decent portion of existing pieces to get away with to serve as heroes - character cards themselves I could do but the heroes thing we'd kind of have to either improvise, or someone would need to go out of their way to make some nice models ... :p
Dissonance 37 5 Jan, 2015 @ 10:14am
What I was thinking was that apart from the terrain tiles, which only really needs one model making (assuming you can get by without any extra props like walls), the rest can just be 2D assets. The piece of card on a base type figurines would suffice to get a working game onto the workshop with the terrain and cards, once the base game is on the workshop then you'll probably have more success recruiting modellers to help add proper miniatures (which is a lot of work compared to asking for a single terrain tile model).
