That said, you may try this Mod but as usual I strongly recommend to read the item description and test/try alone in new create world to learn how it works and know if still compatible in the new game version :

Always best to know what we are doing when playing with Mods because adding and removing a broken conflicting Mod can break the save files.
= Test before adding to your Favorite saves.

EDIT

Important to know :
You may follow what we all do after a game update to find the Mods that are not compatible with the new game version but keep in mind some Mod may corrupt the save on removing the Mod so it's very important to test in copies.
How to test a world or find broken/conflicting Mods :
1 - Select your save.
2 - Click the "Save as" button on the left.
3 - Change the save name to create a *copy.
4 - Withdraw and/or add one Mod at a time in the copy.
5 - Report to the Mod author (on Workshop item page) when broken Mod found so he can fix/update his Mod, always very kind to let them know.
*copy
Never test with your original save, better create a copy and fix the original save when solution found in the copy, this way you will not mess up your save.

It was way easier before, they did that change because a lot of players were complaining about losing their creation too fast/too easy, because Raider players stole their ship without having time to battle.
Remote contols that will move the ship and you. Timer blocks that activate thrust override. Programmable blocks that instruct other blocks you haven't owned yet.
Also if you bring this back to your base but your base has weapons, those weapons will shoot at this ship because you don't own all the blocks. More complicated when you can't find some of these blocks to grind/weld them to own them.
OR
Enable all the "God" modes from the admin menu, go to control panel of the NPC ship, select all blocks (highlighted) and change ownership to "ME" on the right side.
I also like to Blueprint (Ctrl+B) the ship and rebuild with projector or paste in with creative enabled from the admin menu Alt+F10, this way all blocks will be set to "ME" by default and will be saved on your C: Drive (F10 in-game) to reuse anytime you want.
Edit
Sorry corrections made.
+
highlight all blocks by selecting one and hit Ctrl+A, this way all blocks in control panel will be highlighted and ready to change ownership.
