Modders who dont allow repack
These stuck-up modders, all it does is make their mods look bad when you're waiting to get into a server because they updated it and now you have to wait for hrs for the server to restart, or the admin has to restart the server so people can get on and others playing have to leave. They say they want credit, so let the server owner give you credit, on the server pack, load screen and discord. Hell, even tell players to go donate if you like it. Do you think people really donate to a mod when it is forcibly downloaded so they can join a server, then have login issues because it is updated. NO, they do not.

If you don't like a modders conditions then don't use the mod.
I don't allow mine to be repacked etc as users don't give credit in many cases.

Well if your going to threaten copyright infringement of course your not going to get the credit.

I understand if they are paid for MODS that every player would need to purchase to use. Then you are losing income, but on mods that are strictly donations. The player will donate if they see it in the server requirement or in the server load page, discord or other ways. Actually more likely to donate if the server has a hyperlink set to take you directly to the Steam page. For instance, in their discord, they have a page set for mod info and guides, with hyperlinks.
I dont want to monetise any content I create, I also dont want them included in any mod pack.

It might be a pain every now and then but without the many modders who also limit their mod uses many servers and games wouldnt be have as much fun.

Blame those who steal mods and credit for the issue not the modders :)

Workshop Contributions are Subscriptions,
and therefore you agree that any Subscriber receiving distribution of your Workshop Contribution will have the same rights to use your Workshop Contribution
(and will be subject to the same restrictions) as are set out in this Agreement for any other Subscriptions.

In steam workshop TOS it is stated that the developer of the game must give permission to sell mods,
In Bohemia's tools policy it is stated that it is forbidden to charge for mods and is also breaking direct TOS from the game developer thus breaking steam workshop TOS
as stated you need direct permission from the developer and Bohemia has made the stance clear.

When it comes to the law according to those terms you posted all workshop submissions should be treated as open-source. So "stealing" code or content is allowed, or at least by law. However it is still a :guppy:-move to do so when the developer of the content explicitly states that they don't want to see their content to be moved into someone elses work, and in most likelihood not be credited for said work. Even worse is when people TAKE the code or content and then later on feel entitled to ask the creator on how it all works (ask for support). People who don't know how to code or reverse-engineer should not take content from others in the first place. But when they [the content "thief"] do, they should credit the original creator because it's the right thing to do.

My server was Free to play and i gave credit with links to original workshop mods on my discord and in server. Myself and my faithful players on my server were tired of the server going down sometimes once a day because of mod updates and the server needs them. So i packed them in one so i could decide when to update the server and keep everyone playing.

Then I was hit with 4 copyright lawsuit cease and desist letters. Modders would prefer me bad-mouthing the mod and letting all my players know its not me its the fact that the modder had to update their ♥♥♥♥ 3 time in one day.

Despite the steam agreement they will still threaten to sue, so Fu$% Them

bro who the ♥♥♥♥ cares. if they say that you cant repack it. legally they have no leg to stand on. especially since its not like they have the legal right to the mods anyways. its just fear mongering. the crybabies whining about repacking need to STFU and stop sounding like children

The part you are missing here, is "Redistribution" .. You can do anything you like with any file on your PC, for your own personal use, BUT, you have no Right under the EULA that you posted, or any Law/Copyright/Trademark to "Share" or "Re-Distribute" your "edited" or modified, or repacked Original files.

I allow repack on my mods, however repacking is "bad form" it only duplicates mods and leaves mods on some servers out of date and being inconsistant with what players expect from that mod
