Any tips for motivation?
I've had a few boats I've been wanting to finish for a while now but I just can't seem to get the motivation to finish them. I feel like it boils down to not knowing the next step on what to focus on when building. I already have the rooms layed out but other than that it's an empty shell.

id start with engine and superstructrue. dont worry about going in order, just start messing with things

You could write down what you want to be done on your boats. Then finish from easiest to hardest for your self confidence.

I know the feeling. My ADHD has me starting more projects as I get ideas and I seldom get around to finishing them. Then I get a burst of energy and put a few solid hours in laying something out only to come back to it months later with more ideas or a better set of deck plans and realize I wasted a lot of time doing it wrong.

Make it move. Once its stops being a shell floating at the dock it will feel like more progress. Get your engine systems working. Get it handling right. Once the hard work is done you can start detailing and doing all the fun stuff.

relatable XD. my favorite part of building is making the hull (I make boats) but then after that my motivation just dies.

I get hung up when the logic gets ridiculous. I can rebuild transmission in real life. F-me if I can do the logic for something in this game that operates like a transmission.

yeah i dont get logic in this game either. Im more about the physical engineering than the brains of the creation.
