new player here
i'v had this game in my lib for years "i think, long time ago bought and barely played back then"
anyways, i started playing and i can see why i bought this back then, BUT i'm looking for a mod

i'v looked on workshop but i don't think i search with the corret term, so i need yall help.
i'm looking for a mod that allows me to build like outside next to a "town/city/camp" a sort of build anywhare, but i can't find one.

anyone knows a name of a mod that allows me to do that? or atleast a better search term i can use, i'm so bad at that, my google fu is very weak.
Thanks in advanced.

you cant find one because its not possible. you can find a mod that lets you build closer, but we do not recommend that as it can bug out your save.
like having partially have your town become claimed by a said town your building next to.

Unfortunately that is a core game mechanic we cannot change. Building too close to a town causes horrible ownership issues and parts of your items will eventually become the town's. This is why such mod would not be made, even if it was possible.

Just buy a town house and have your base of operations from there.

Edit: Hatsune beat me to it XD

ah i see, no wonder i can't find one =D well thanks for the replys. guess i'll hire a bunch of people first then before i make an outpost.

again thanks for the reply's
you can do much buying a building in town. like this. but also depends on where you buy.
only thing you cant do is thing's that can only be built outside on the ground.

yes i already bought a house i had to fix, but i kinda had trouble with the second science bench it was so big i had to disamble all placed stuff in one place to fit it =D so i kinda wanted to make an own "outpost" but i tryed twice and die'd from bandits fairly fast lol.

don't get me wrong, here i do not mind die'ing but man this game is hard lol.
base game is easy. well it is once you get the hang of the game. myself I play on a much harder difficulty by using my Stronger Group combat Mod. only bad thing so far is Elder Gutters.

if you want to survive sword fights, wear heavy armor, take the penalties' from it to improve.
you can wear light armor when you become faster. and have high MA. you can really take down NPCs fast once your high enough. MA in the 70s can do around 200 damage

i don't focus on combat atm "i should probably, but won't", i avoid it as much as i can, i'm more of a, builder in games =D wel i try to be one in most games, that's why i wanted to build close to a town for its protection.
i can see me playing this game on and off for a long time, playing / experimenting with mods.

Use the shift+f12 editor mode to move around & fit your stuff inside a building. Place furniture piece wherever it fits, build it, then open the editor and move it around. Then hit save+re-load after you done to reset the navmesh.
You can also directly place buildings/furniture in editor mode, but that is rather cheaty given they are built immeidiately at no cost.
