Trading settlements
So I was playing and I found many times that my allies would take a settlement in my province. Their would be nothing I could do and they would convert my province's culture I would like a mod to make trading settlements an option in the diplomatic page also you could use settlements as something to get out of wars when you have little money. Thank you for any feed back about possible mods.

As a serious Total War Fan, it would be nice if they shared the same features, Total War Rome 1 could Trade Settlements Diplomatically, Total War Rome 2 cant. its disappointing. Also ur post may be years old but some of these things r still a problem, like they didnt even try to capitalize on them.
The only way to get a settlement peacefully is using the diplomatic mission. It might trigger a random outcome in which they give a region to you as a gift. But yeah, I dont understand why they didnt include it, quite a mess.
R2 has no built in mechanic you can easy mod to do this. It can be done via scripts to transfer regions, and dilemas, so a mod would need make use of these methods

The only mod I know that does this is one for DEI using diplomatic agents for grand campaign, by moving agents to that region. (Mod is on twcenter)
Trade_Regions_2.5[www.twcenter.net]

Someone could make a vers of this for vanilla and dif campaigns as there are dif factions and regions in each campaign. DEI uses dif map for GC to vanilla (Emperor campaign map)

You can also use the Console Scriptum mod to transfer settlements to another faction.

The region transfer script mods would need to use is

scripting.game_interface:transfer_region_to_faction(region_key, faction_key)

region_key = region key in game database (eg: rom_bactria_baktria)
faction_key = faction to transfer the region to (eg : rom_rome = Rome in GC)

in db region and faction keys exist here
db/regions_tables/ , db/factions_tables
