Player model won't appear in game

I have a problem with a MP player model. It is a single .gro file downloaded from some SS dedicated russian site. I paste it into content/serious sam 3 but when i enter the game in moddable version, it doesn't appear on the list. Could you please help me?

Please give more info? A detailed dump of the contents of the gro file (directories and subdirs/files) would help.

Sorry, I'm a total noob, how to make a dump of this file?

Eh. it might be perhaps difficult to obtain it. You can try this:

- make a copy of it and rename it to have .zip extension
- unzip the contents to a folder
- start Command Prompt in that folder
- run this command:

dir /s/b/p > filelist.txt

and copy the contents of the resulting filelist.txt file here

-.- facepalm - Here is why it was not working. The author made 2 versions: SS HD and SS3: BFE. The website was all Russian so i just pressed the big, shining button, which was actually the SS HD download (and was nowhere signed as HD). SS3 download was a small, not even underlined link, which i didn't spot at that time, but later. Now that i downloaded the right file, my model appears on the list.

I'm reaaaaaaaally sorry for taking your time, but I literally got lost in Russian alphabet.
Anyway, thank you for the instructions, they are surely going to be useful later.
