You have to click on the mounts (the arrows...go to the bottom tab and I believe it is the last one that you can increase/decrease the scale so it is easier to see) and then go to the second tab, click on the tab on the top, and that should open the parts list. Once you attach a part, the other main screens come into play.

Be aware that there is a mount positioning and a piece positioning. I can tell you from experience if you start twisting mounts and pieces without realizing that there are two different types of adjustment, you will eventually run into problems, especially with movement.

Yup, what Warsaw said; select the mount points and then there's a button at the top of the 'Mounts' tab.

We know the UI is a mess for new users. We plan to make it more intuitive in the future.
