general mod bugs in public_beta
general mod bugs in public_beta STEAM v.1.0.93

As mentioned in another thread, on the mod main screen, the reload-mod menu item isn't replacing the text (I hovered the mouse over it to make it yellow in the following screenshot).

It seems that some of the graphical elements on the map screen aren't cleared when changing mods. In the following screenshot, I loaded a game from the base game (no mods), quit back to the main menu, loaded the space mod, then loaded a save game. Things seemed to work properly in that mod, including playing a level; it was just the graphics on the map screen.

The first bug doesn't happen with other mod, I gather it's more related to the Space Mod than to the way Mod themself work.
The second one is another matter ... If it were just some file which weren't replaced correctly (ie didn't exist in the Space Mod folder and thus where replaced with default file) it would happen even if starting a new Space game without loading a standard saved game first ...

Hey there! Thanks for these reports.

1) This bug is caused by me adding new text strings to the build. The space defenders mod was released before I added these text strings, and the game isn't smart enough to "fall through" and read the default strings outside of the mod if it doesn't find one.

2) This seems to be a general bug that will afflict any mod. It's not clearing already-drawn graphics correctly when resetting the game, it has nothing to do with file loading.

I'll try to fix both of these real quick.

Meantime, has anyone noticed any other bugs with the game, particularly any new ones?

I only went through the Space Mod and play one or two game with my other mod (one that simply remove XP gain, I also used imported and modded save file for it, so importing modded saved files seems to work fine)

I just have notice a small bug in the space mod : Azra and slak are now wearing awful looking glasses ! I have no clue where it might come from, gonna investigate ... :p

Okay, I've fixed these two bugs in version 1.0.94, which I will upload to test_public in the next 10 minutes.

Ok, the space mo bug home page is indeed fixed (and clicking on reload/unload work well) I haven't tried the second bug since I'm not 100% sure how h did it, I fear screwing my save and ... i'm too lazy ^^

update for beta (test_public) STEAM v.1.0.94

fixed The main menu text on the space mod is correct now.

fixed graphical elements on map screen are cleared

broken "Click here to begin." appears when loading save game or replaying level. As shown in the following two screenshots, it appears to be a fixed position on the screen, regardless of the background map position. (Perhaps that was hard-coded in the base game. I guess just omit it if a mod, since one would assume a player has at least started the base game before playing a mod.)
