Armor 2.5

Description
WANT MORE ARMOR?

Adding onto an already great mod made by Bone Tomahawk Armour Extended 1.0 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1497559742&searchtext=extended I take no credit for his game sprites or in game tech unlock trees that come with with this mod THESE ARE HIS WORK [Note these two mods will not play nice, run one or the other. Armor 2.5 has all of Extended 1.0's features inside.]

Within this mod I've tweaked his stats for Heavy Iron armor, concrete and reinforced concrete.
I have also updated the steel armor from Extended 1.0 so that it matches the newest version of the game.

But most importantly I've added much more durable options. Many of the modded weapons in this game turn the default armor to Swiss cheese, yet I didn't want to feel like I was cheating to get the protection I needed. So here are some historical / lore friendly options included in this mod, balanced for fairness.

Very Heavy Iron: This is similar to post war Ironclad turrets and WWI Maginot Line gun bunkers, an exceedingly thick yet soft ductile armor to stop most attacks at the cost of weight.

Face hardened steel armor: Based on late 1800's Krupp cemented armor: Grants a nice increase in performance for a price. The extra hardness grants no increase in health but a good increase in ballistic protection.

Iridium Carbide: While testing the ballistic protection potential of some decommissioned WWI heavy cruisers and dreadnoughts the British stumbled upon test panels from one particular ship who's relatively thin armor outclassed samples 4x thicker. In fact none of the testing weapons available could penetrate the sample. It was later concluded that the sample's steel alloy likely was composed of a large % of metal containing meteor fragments. The Iridium alloy would have been unmatched in performance.

Mithril: Unlike say adamantium, Mithril seems like a much more likely candidate for a steampunk setting. Likely composed from what was not know at the time to be titanium.

Extremely thick rolled homogeneous armor: Would comprise of the strongest possible armor producible at the time. As strong as Face hardened steel but thicker than Very Heavy Iron. This would be equivalent to the 17+ inches of steel the kind of protection offered by the turrets on the Yamato. While not impervious to the biggest BIG modded weapons found on the steam workshop. This is the most durability you can possible achieve without breaking the Airships universe.

NOTE: Still learning so I have not updated the sprites for these materials, they all appear as iron in game. Though the sound files are realistic ;-)

NOTE: In free build armor will have all of the later tech upgrades unlocked thus showing much higher overall stats vs in conquest at low tiers.

My mod doesn't change what the AI uses, it will be what ever was based with the original game.

Hmmm well I was really hoping for a 50 penetration resistance and a 50 explosion resistance or lower tiers would be 20 and 20 5 &5 etc

I'd suggest using 2.75 at this point. What in 2.5 isn't working? I'm running 2.75 so not sure if there is an issue.
