Description
The laser dogfight system allows you to dogfight your friends in Stormworks using custom microcontrollers, lasers and a damage system.

Version 5 adds a new way of hit sending, a maximum range of 300 meters, and a hit and damage sound. First a laser distance sensor activates and reads the distance between you and what you are firing at. Then if the target is within 300 meters, a laser beacon activates sending a hit signal to the other aircraft. What is achieved by this is a narrow beam of hit sending instead of a very wide spread. If you are hit 5 times, your engine will explode.


-Requires Laser Dogfight Sensors microcontroller


To Use:

1 Install Laser Dogfight Microcontroller on Aircraft

2 Install Sensor Microcontroller on Aircraft

3 Add a Damage Indicator (Gauge, Dial, etc.)

4 Add Laser Point Sensors to Aircraft Facing as Many Different Directions as Possible (8 is usually enough)

5 Add up to two Laser Distance Sensors Facing Forward

6 Add a Laser Beacon Facing Forward

7 Install Buzzers

8 Install Damage System

9 Connect Systems to Microcontroller

10 The Fire Button is Connected Directly to the Laser Distance Sensors

That is the problem.
I dont have an engine
I have electrical motor though I may just build an engine because of this problem

You could use a clutch and fluid valves to deactivate the drive shaft and the coolant system combined with a numerical switchbox to lock the throttle at 1. This will cause an engine fire that will burn the ship down.

Stormworks stopped working for a month so sorry for late reply.
I got to building the but but when the ship is damaged how to I make the gun stop working? I had a damage system and it opens a hatch and floods the boat but the boat is so small it does not flood. So when my ship gets destroyed if I add the feature the engine will stop but the gun will keep on going which is a problem.

Any ideas for something that will sink or make the ship flip over?

I would use an electric relay to deactivate the electrical system when damaged. The shoot buzzer is for the sound made when firing and the hit sound is the sound that the system makes when a hit is scored.

I have questions about this.
1. what is the diffrence between shoot buzzer active and Becon and hit sount active?
2. How would a damage system work with electric motar.

You can put the laser beacon on the wing clear of the prop.

I like the system, just I was configuring my WWI era biplane with it, and it seems that the laser beams bouncing off the prop as it passes registers as damage. Is there anything I could do with frequencies to avoid this, or is such a thing impossible? Ofc any type of synchronization gear won't work in this game, any tips for me would me much appreciated.
