Healing Kits of Thea

Description

A small mod adding some healing kits to Thea.

Features four craftable healing kits that can be equipped in the tools slot as an alternative to gathering tools and crafting tools as they aren't really a benefit to all characters. Plus we could use more than just two items in that equipment slot.

CHANGES
Reduced spawning chance of all insects on all islands down to 5%
Moved starback bugs from the fields terrain to dirt terrain.

FIXES
-

NEW
-

All healing kits that heal a single health type provide a 1.0 regeneration rate per essence level the fourth healing kit is a complete kit that provides a regen to all three types of health at a 0.5 regeneration per essence level.
All healing kits also provide a 1%-3% decreased chance of dying. That's a low amount yes but there is only so much a healing kit can do on its own and the more essential services of a Healer would be needed to best save ones life.

Provides 5 new herbs to find across Thea. They can be used to make healing kits and can also be used in cooking recipes.
The basic herbs can only be gathered on the starting island now.
Violet Shrooms - Darkness Island - Purple - Goblins
Holly Leaves - Ice Island - White - Ice Demons
Fire Grass - Volcanic Island - Red - Orcs
Lavender Flowers - Ancient Island - Green - Elves
Thorn Root - Metalic Island - Light Grey - Dwarves

Provides a new resource with 5 varientss to find across Thea, insects. They can be used to make healing kits and can also be used in a new cooking recipe.
The insects can only be gathered on the various islands.
Starback Bug - Starting Island - Dark Grey - Slavyans
Dew Ants - Darkness Island - Purple - Goblins
Fire Beetles - Volcanic Island - Red - Orcs
Stick Bugs - Ancient Island - Green - Elves
Stone Centipedes - Metalic Island - Light Grey - Dwarves

All health kits can potentially be found as loot during your playthrough. The most efficient way to get them is to craft them.
They are unlocked by default only require basic resources to make.

Complete Healing Kit - Any of the materials can be used to make them.
Health Healing Kit - Must be made using leather
Sanity Healing Kits - Must be made using wood
Faith Healing Kits - Must be made using bones

Inside the mod directly is a "Credits - Artists.rtf" crediting as many artists as possible whose artworks are used in this mod.

Yes you've got it right, so basically as long as you load Healing Kits of Thea (or any mod adding new resources) after Resources Revamped you will be fine and they will otherwise work fine together.
At worst you'll notice a few hexes with the wrong resources on it if the herbs or insects fail to spawn but it won't be anything weird or abnormal.

Thanks for the quick reply! I dont understand entirely I'm afraid but I am getting that the features from both mods will be in game and functional, which is all I needed to know to get playing.

Just to put my mind at ease; when using both, the terrains/biomes in which the new resources can be found will revert back to vanilla (+ added resources), and all other terrain will be according to resources revamped? If so, does this mean the mods that add resources should be lower in the list than resources revamped or does it really not matter what the order is?

I honestly cannot comment on your suggested changes, I have yet to play the game and I cant speak for anyone else!

In terms of adding resource it doesn't conflict with most of the changes in Resources Revamped and that includes the use of the 2D Icons Fix.
The only conflict you'll find is the spawning location of resources as Resources Revamped changes the location and percentage of spawning for all the different terrains and resources associated with them. Basically some of the terrains use the old vanilla spawning rate with my herbs and insects patched onto them.

I can look at the differences between terrain in the vanilla game and Resources Revamped and make changes to the terrain in this mod to something that is between both vanilla game and Resource Revamped so it is something that appeals to all players.

I have a follow up question on the previous discussion I hope you have an answer for. How do your mods that add resources (like this one) and the 2d icons fix play together with the resources revamped mod from lorska? Thanks so much!

Thanks for the reassurance! Great work as always! Now I wonder if you can actually bring some additional food source/cooking recipe with your Arathor mod... like maybe some kind of medieval European cooking.

XDDD

Just kidding. Thank you for all your hard work to bring content to Thea 2!

If you're using both mods then their order doesn't matter as you'll need to use my other mod the 2D Icons Library Fix and that should be loaded after all the mods listed in its mod description.

I for one actually like the added complexity. Gathering different food sources and make all food for my characters is something fun I do, even if there's no real incentive after a certain point.

Just for clarification, this mood need to go below 'Yarr be pirate'? Since I remember the different food came from that mod first.

Yes but I thought it would be a nice touch for each island to have their own herb that only grows there, plus I have thousands of unused icons and was thinking of ways to make use of some of them.

Ah ok. They're still a nice addition, thx. Though I don't understand why we need the extra herb types. Doesn't that just make the already complex game even more complex?

Healing kits only help the characters who have one equipped
