[WotC] Shield Rework

Features
Shield Rework is my personal configuration for Claus and Musashi's Ballistic Shields with an alternative set of mechanics inspired by Chimera Squad.

The idea is to give Shields a unique playstyle: shields now act as mobile cover, allowing their wielders to move in the open without dying to flank crits.

Shields no longer provide Shield points: instead they provide the following bonuses:
  • Shields provide low cover defence to their wielder anywhere on the battlefield, even if flanked. This lets shieldbearers move as freely as SPARKs can, and makes them especially good against melee enemies like The Lost.

  • Shields increase Armor and Dodge, starting at +1 Armor, +20 Dodge and rising to +2 Armor, +40 Dodge by level 3 tech. They have a -2 penalty to Mobility, but that's not as big a deal when you can take low cover anywhere.

The Shield's abilities have also been adjusted:
  • The Shieldwall ability has been merged with Hunker Down: it provides Hunker Down's defensive bonuses (+30 defence, +50 dodge) and high cover to allies. In combination with the Dodge bonuses shields get, this makes shieldbearers incredibly resilient while using it.

  • The Guard perk from Iridar's Stormrider Class has been rebalanced slightly: shields no longer downgrade damage an extra step, but the high Dodge and crit resistance they get in this mod means they're still likely to deflect attacks.

  • Shield Bash deals significantly less damage (1-3): its main utility is the guaranteed Disorient if it hits.

Configuration
Shield Rework substantially expands Ballistic Shields's configuration options: you can now configure Dodge, Armor and Health bonuses on top of the existing Mobility and Aim modifiers.

how can I verify if the shield is correctly giving the wearer low cover?

I have to ask: does this rework make it so when you get the low profile perk? All low cover from shield-bearers turns into high cover?

Low cover for this unit is treated as high cover. }

Or does it not convert the low cover into high cover for adjacent allies?

Edit: nvm Amalgamation: Vengeance touch shields and have SHIELD_MOBILITY_PENALTY=2 in it,which seem to be what give all shield users +2 when equipping a shield

For some reason when I equip a shield,I get +2 mobility instead of -2

Sounds great in theory but break so many perk mods that most of them cant use any abilities requiring shield wall

the easiest way is just to look at the description of the shield wall ability if it says anything other than "Hunker down behind your shield. Increases Defence by 30, Dodge by 50, and provides high cover to allies." then it's not working
