Description
Will no longer be maintaining my CK3 mods. The game came out 3 years ago and I'm just not interested in it anymore. Any modders are free to reuse all of the mod's source in their own mods.

Partition sucks. This mod adds two new decisions from the start of the game! One lets you add Primogeniture, and the other adds Ultimogeniture. This works for Tribal, Feudal, and Clan governments too!

All AI should switch to primogeniture within the first few months of the game (AI will use ultimogeniture poorly, so I prevented it from using that decision). So, if you want to give yourself a challenge, you could choose to ignore these decisions and stick with partition! (not that you should)

Two notes:
- Evidently not achievement compatible (dang, I know)
- This mod will probably not work with other mods that modify succession laws or change crown authority effects.

Please report any bugs you find either in a discussion or a comment below! Have fun not agonizing over murdering, disinheriting, and monk-ifying heirs!

If your succession law is reverting to confederate partition, please try uninstalling/reinstalling. If that doesn't work, move this mod to the bottom of your mod list, though that may break other mods.

yeah, this mod doesn't work anymore, probably because of landless characters don't have the same inheritance rules as landed characters.

Just a suggestion to make this mod compatible with pretty much anything (feel free to ignore).
Instead of modifying the succession laws themselves to allow primo succession without the innovation, you could add the "Primogeniture" innovation to the player's culture during the event when you apply the succession law.

So
root.culture = { add_innovation = innovation_primogeniture }
Under "0750.a" & "0752.a"

I believe this should work even when the late medieval era isn't unlocked.

Is there a way to make all the rulers in Europe to switch to Primogeniture during the 11th century when you're doing the 867 start ?

It should, but I haven't tried that before. Would recommend copying your save file before you try, just in case
