I'm happy to finally present my first fully working attack submarine and the first ship of my new 4th gen submarine fleet, the Robert 3.

The Robert 3 is a medium sized boat, roughly modeled off the Los Angeles (688) class submarines in service with the US Navy. Robert 3 is a jet powered submarine, which is the closest we can get to nuclear power in the current build of the game, which gives it good speed and power. Capable of speeds of up to 330kph and with a range of up to 500KM, Robert can go just about anywhere relatively quickly. Within the fleet context, the Robert 3 class is intended an ocean going workhorse, capable of operating in most every environment relatively effectively.

In terms of interior, Robert 3 has a single deck and a full interior with both decorative and practical features. The torpedo tubes aren't actually accessible from the inside the boat, they run along either side of the central fuel tank and carry 5 torpedoes each. What is accessible however, are all the micro-controllers that Robert 3 runs off of. While not literally every micro-controller, as I did run out of space at the end, 95% of all the micro-controllers and 100% of the important micro-controllers can be accessed and repaired in the case of damage. Robert 3 also has a semi-standard damage control system to pump out water in compartments.

The bridge and fire control rooms are where the real fun is though, and where 70% of the interior designing time went(mainly because they were advanced for me, not necessarily because they're good lol). It's (hopefully) much more practical than bridges of my previous submarines as I've learned plenty of lessons from them. While I won't get into the features here, I just want to mention that for the first time ever on a sub I've built, it has a working depth hold, which instantly makes it way better than my other stuff.

* Just a note: Robert 3 is pretty logic heavy and will cause my game(ryzen 2600x and gtx1080) to go into slow motion. Most of this slow motion is actually caused by the torpedoes, and so for better performance(should you desire) I've got a version of Robert 3 without torps linked.

If I forgot to credit you for something that I used, please let me know! The last thing I want to do is plagiarize, and I would be happy to give credit.

Please don't reupload without permission, feel free to make whatever modifications you want, just link them in the comments because I think they're cool and want to check them out. I hope you enjoy this submarine.

Probably not, this submarine is an older model for me and as such it's a pain in the butt to work on. Feel free to modify it in whatever way you want though, don't let me being crabby hold you back.

the submarine is very detailed and easy to use but the sonar/radar just seems like a map with a sonar and radar overlay (thats probably what it is) but besides that its great but please make the sonar/radar accurate or just make a map

its an amazing sub and also very practical but i have a question, how does the depth hold actually works already tried to put to -8.00 with ballast full but it just continue diving, maybe depth -8.00 is too much? but besides that the sub is cool

v and looking at all the other subs you've made makes me really excited for the nuclear power update, you could make amazing things bro!

this is an impressive submarine, the detail and all really immerses you, this might be the best submarine i've seen on the workshop since the los angeles class sub that was popular before even stormworks advanced engines update

@dientjegamer I'd love to see you make a better one.

Absolutely great build. There are a lot of details inside the submarine that allows for an immersive experience (which is better if you have a couple friends to man each station). Again, 10/10 creation which looks great on the horizon.
