The newest overhaul includes 5 new factions including multiple subcategories, custom models, new textures, over 50 different units & groups including CBRN, Divers, Vehicles and much more for both Zeus and Eden. All this tied together by expansive lore found below.

The mod takes place during the Cold War (1985). At the time, Colonial Altis finds itself at the brink of civil war, as the island has gained a separatist movement called Altis Liberation Movement, which seeks to break away from their British overlords, as well as many military leaders who are tired of the sitting government and are seeking other options.

Three parties dominate the political scene, the old and longest sitting party named, Royal Colonial Administration Party. The RCAP is an odd candidate, as it is more an administration, as implied by the name, than an actual party. The RCAP has been the governing party on Altis since the island officially became a democracy right after World War Two.
The second largest party is named, The Free Republic Party, which seeks a democratic Altis & Stratis, free from colonial rule, many average Altians support this party but does not vote for it as the party has some strong ties to the military and have often been called extreme.
At last, the communists, the Altis Liberation Party, which is the third largest. ALP does also seek a free Altis, however communist. ALP is rumored to have an armed wing, the ALM. Compared to the Free Republic Party, ALP is even more extreme. Furthermore ALP receives substantial funding from the eastern bloc.

ACAF - Altis Colonial Armed Forces
In 1985 the Altis Armed Forces consist of a primary regiments, named "The 2nd & 3rd Royal Altian Regiment", the 2nd and primary regiment consist of one large battalion which is made up of 4 companies, a motorized / mechanized and 2 regular infantry companies and the newly refurbished tank company.
The 2nd Royal Altian Regiment has most of the support companies, the largest being the Engineer Company which houses recovery vehicles as well as the two only bridge-layers in the entire army. Additionally the 2nd Reg. also consists of a CBRN Group which is trained in rapid deployment as well as Search and Rescue in chemically dangerous environments. Furthermore the regiment also has the 3rd Support Company which is in charge of the artillery and mortars.
Furthermore ACAF also consists of a few separate companies. Of which the largest being a specially trained Mountaineer Company and the older and under-funded Bicycle Company which is being decommissioned and is to be merged with the motorized company, however acts as a support to the Military Police for the moment, due to the unrest.

The ACAF has yet to fully modernize in the 80's. But they are of course backed by their colonial master, Great Britain , this means ACAF uses L1A1 rifles. Additionally ACAF has a very small airforce, it's made up of multiple old C-47's and a few helicopters which are primarily used for special operations and CAS is a rare luxury. The army instead relies on artillery and mortar support. The army is also supervised by the Brits, and as of 1985 the Stratis Airbase is being built by the British and American military.

In addition to the regulars colonial army, the 'Altian Special Operations Group', ASOG for short operates separately from the Army itself, in fact no one within the regular army has authority to give commands to ASOG. This in turn means that ASOG can operate outside any British Colonial control. Of course the British have opposed this leadership, however the mutual hatred for the communist groups and ALM, means that the colonial master has turned a blind eye to the special operations force.
Due to the Independence of ASOG, many communist sources claim that ASOG do not abide by the rules of war and treat prisoners and civilians inhumanly. The origins of ASOG lie within the British SAS, which helped train many of the original Altian special forces soldiers, who by now, are commanders of the unit.
Additionally, the 'Altian Special Operations Group', also have surprisingly strong anti-British standpoint, as the force believes that the colonial masters are not doing enough to help Altis against the communists.

ARMP - Altian Royal Military Police
The army is firmly held together by the well trained Altian Royal Military Police, the Military Police are amongst the most state-loyal forces the nation has. The Royal Military Police not only enforces order within the military but has expanded their jurisdiction over the Altian Police Force due to the increasing tensions.
A.C.T - Altian Crisis Taskforce, falls under jurisdiction of the Military Police as well. ACT is a newly established taskforce composed of police officers and elements from ARMP. ACT, as the name is plies is a crisis taskforce and is mostly deployed in hostage situations and other crises in mostly urban environments. The taskforce is not a fulltime taskforce which is always on standby, but rather an emergency backup with a very mixed arsenal and personnel. ACT is linked to ASOG and is almost the MP's counterpart to the Raiders.

ALM - Altis Liberation Movement
The Altis Liberation Movement seeks an independent Altis, free of colonial rule. The separatist movement is very diverse, some parts of the movement are purely political and peaceful, while other parts are violent and said to be backed by the Soviet Union, but this has not been confirmed.
Throughout recent months the armed wing of the movement has increased their numbers heavily, and so has their aggression towards the army. Additionally, the ACAF suspects that a foreign power might be supplying the movement, due to their increasing arsenal of modern soviet weapons. The movement has increased their guerilla attacks on the army. It is clear that the ALM seeks public support and is trying to frame the ACAF for any collateral damage. The Altis Liberation Movement has a well known slogan "Liberating Street By Street".

AFRAF - Altian Free Republic Armed Forces - (Also known as Coup forces)
The Free Republic of Altis & Stratis movement is not just another anti-colonial movement on the island. The FRA movement has many supporters within ACAF and especially within ASOG and has achieved great success politically. The defense minister of Altis, is a former Major and has a very close relationship with many of the higher leaders of ACAF who are all very loyal to him...

Major Averoff is a member of The Free Republic Party and he has grown tired of RCAP as well as the Brits and their inaction against ALM.
With his close ties in the army, the former Major, Averoff plans to orchestrate a coup to gain a Free and Independent Altis. However Major Averoff is aware that some parts of the army will stay loyal to the Brits, therefore he has greatly strengthened his ties with the leaders of ASOG, in the hope that they will show loyalty to him when he will attempt to take over the current RCAP government. Major Averoff is aware, that if he can convince ASOG to help him in a coup, Altis will be free once and for all...
