Description


Don't like fighting through walls in minor settlements? I got you.

This is an updated version of Foxtrone's No Walls for Minor Settlements.

For a while I was considering making this effect part of my Pierce's Better Sieges mod. Lucky for me, Foxtrone's mod showed me a much cleaner way to do it than the way I planned before I started, so a huge Thank You goes to Foxtrone! All I had to do to make this current was add settlement IDs for Nakai and fix a mistake with Bretonnia.

What this mod does

This removes the Wall attribute from minor settlements' Garrison building chain (or the minor settlement itself for Bretonnians and Nakai). This means minor settlements won't have walls and therefore won't have siege battles.

*exceptions: Mousillon (Fortress of Merovech, Vampire Counts only), Ubersreik (Ubersreik Inn, Empire only), Isle of Wights (Restored Port of Nagaroth, Dark Elves only)



With this mod enabled you'll also be able to play more of the beautiful GCCM maps!
Without this mod, if a minor settlement upgrades to a wall then it will overwrite the GCCM battlefield that's there.

Tailored Faction Garrisons?
Also yes. That required some work on my end but I know a lot of users of both Better Sieges and Reporting For Duty also use Tailored Faction Garrisons, so I wanted to keep that working.

@Macallan Yes, that's right. If you use RFPM you should find what you're looking for quickly if you open this mod.

hey all good? If I want to maintain the walls for bretonnia it is easy to do? I think its a checkbox right so I just check again on all brt entries right? Thx a lot for this mod (all of your mods rly hehehe I use most of them)

hello thx for the mod, is there a reverse mod? aka allow walls to be built in settlements lvl 4 (MAZZ MOD)

@Dom probably both: AI should see more opportunities to attack, and the growth nerf was a substantial change

I was wondering if the lack of the wall attribute makes the AI attack more often, because it knows walls haven't been built even though the Wall building is constructed?
And if it does attack more often, that would mean you would get les tier 3 settlements around the map?
I was wondering If the reason I see less AI tier 3 settlements is because of this, or just because growth was nerfed by CA a while ago and I haven't played much since...
