Ashlands Expanded

Kuvaus
The remnants of the Second Empire will have a more significant presence in the world of Kenshi.

This is a fairly straightforward mod that adds hostile skeleton patrols to more areas of the world, and a new location that acts as the source of a number of the patrols.

- The Eye -
A new building now stands in the center of the storm obscured by the whipping sands. Here sits one of the leaders of the fallen empire, Captain Saruk, guarded by his retinue of bodyguards. As long as he remains alive, legion patrols will be prevelant in the Eye and might appear in surrounding territories.

- New Game Start -
Legion Deserter
Play as a deserting soldier of the Second Empire. Start as a skeleton smack dab in the middle of the Ashlands, you have to escape or be hunted down by your former comrades. Luckily, since you're a skeleton, the normal hazards of the Ashlands aren't a problem at least.

- World States -
Cat-Lon
Cat-Lon's death/imprisonment will trigger large, running, legion squads to start spawning in all neighboring territories of the Ashlands. Before, nothing would change outside of the Ashlands and I felt this was rather boring. This is to convey a final mobilization of war by the last remaining soldiers. If Saruk is still alive, then squads will spawn as far north as the Great Desert.

Captain Saruk
As long as Saruk is alive/not imprisoned then skeleton legion patrols will be present in and around the Eye. They are weaker than those near the Ashlands to match the general difficulty of the surrounding zones, but that doesn't mean they still aren't deadly.

Other
The loss of Tinfist, Southern Hive, or the Thrallmasters will cause an expansion of legion patrols into their respective territories.

- Authors Notes -
This is my first mod so there aren't any major sweeping changes here. It was mostly small tweeks here and there to what patrols spawn in various zones.

When playing the game I was very interested in the Ashlands and the lore surrounding it. I thought it would be fun if Cat-Lon's fallen empire had a little more interaction with the inhabitants of Kenshi in a semi lore-friendly manner.

The Eye was a dissappointingly empty zone in my opinion, so it made sense to me to make it a little more dangerous by adding some skeleton flavor to it.

If there's enough interest in this mod then I might be willing to expand it more. We'll see how things go. Honestly, I'd be happy if anyone other than me even bothered to use it!

The eye area is a trap now. Skeleton legions are so strong compared to its nearby area armies

Could you add spoiler tags to the description for anything that a new player wouldn't be aware of? You mention a lot of endgame content in there.

Does it work with reactive world mod?

Watching a legion squad charge into Eyesocket and cause havoc was great. Or watching a mass battle between them, blood raiders and/or preacher cult (expansion mods for those factions add patrols in this area I guess). 10/10

Pretty interesting work, I also looked for something that could reflect on my actions to Second Empire as it's too deprived on any possibility to impact the world, literally being in a vacuum. Looking for the further development of this mod

One of the best mods for ash lands, as for me.
