Description
What is in the mod:

1) New Christian religion - Greek Catholic Church
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_Greek_Catholic_Church

The Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is the largest Eastern Catholic Church in the world.
Currently it has approximately 4.1 million members.
Within Ukraine itself, the UGCC is the second largest religious organization in terms of number of communities within the Catholic church.

Although, it has been created in 1596, so it's appearance in the game is not historical accurate.

You can convert to that faith via decision, that is available after you gain Galicia-Volhynia kingdom. You must be volhynian culture or be diverged\hybridized from it

2) Lands withing de-jure lands of Galicia-Volhynia kingdom have Volhynian culture.
Some rulers of these lands are also Volhynian.
Volhynian culture have been added by devs, but was not actually used

3) New decision to expand de-jure lands of Galicia-Volhynia to it's historical maximum

+ Russian localization

Mod is compatible with my Better West Slavic mod and must be compatible with other mods too.

File common/religion/religions/00_christianity.txt is the only things that messes up with compatibility of that mod, since there is no other way to make new christian faith other than changing that file
You can always ask if some specific mod compatible with that one

@Memerius Maximus works fine with Cultures Expanded, just load that mod after CE
As for religions, mod don't work only with other mods that add new christian faiths, since they change the same file common/religion/religions/00_christianity.txt. So it depends

Does your mod work for Cultures Expanded and any other religions mod?

I didn't know there was such a good mod. This mod should be more known. thank you

You can see how it looks like now at the last screenshot if you decide to move capital to Kyiv also

Some changes to expand de-jure lands of Galicia-Volhynia decision
1) Duchies of Chernigov and Pereyaslavl are now also becomes de-jure of Kingdom of Ruthenia, but they are still not required to be held for decision
Meanwhile duchies of Karachev and Novosil are transferred to kingdom of Vladymir
Kingdom of Kyiv left without any duchies and effectively destroyed

2) There is now an option to change de-jure capital of Kingdom of Ruthenia to Kyiv upon that decision

I think good idea would be adding ruthenian culture as decision. Bcs if you not playing as Ruthenian overlord in beginning, then almost all provinces will be assimilated in dozen of years. If add this "desicion" then if you need it later, you can just change your culture (as overlord of Galicia-Volhynia) to Ruthenian.

@Zarays Yes, you are right. Historical accuracy is very important to counteract propaganda that has been waged for decades or even longer. Games are a part of mass culture, so they have a strong influence on a large number of people.
In fact, it physically hurts me to see gaffes like the chicken on the coat of arms of the Rus Empire and the name Russia. 😅

@Scooby
Yes, I agree that correct name should be Kyivan Rus', just the same as Kiev was changed to Kyiv in modern english
The question though if you aiming for historical accuracy?
Both Kievan Rus' and Kyivan Rus' are just 19th century names but in different languages
If you are aiming for historical accuracy it should be called Rus', Ruthenia or Rutenia

Anyway that mod is not localization mod
The only changes made to localization are required for that mod to avoid duplicate or confusing names

Thank you for your response. But that mod is not entirely accurate and has new logical and historical errors that it was intended to correct. Even the name of the mod is wrong. If the name of the main city is Kyiv, the state can only be called Kyivan Rus , not *Kievan.

It would be very cool to see this in your mod, not to speak of the other names of the cities I mentioned. For example, Pervomaisk is a kringle. This name of the city was created by Soviet propaganda in the 20th century)))
