Armoured Mournfangs and Rhinox

Beskrivelse
Updated for 6.2

DESCRIPTION
Ogres are known and feared for having the heaviest cavalry in the whole Warhammer universe. Their mournfangs and rhinox have a withers of approximately 3 m, the weight of a few tons each and the force to break through any battle line – but the ogres don’t put any armour on them? That’s ridiculous! The two crusher units ingame even have a beefy armour of 120 and above. So, this visual overhaul/reskin gives all mournfang and crusher cavalry units of the ogre roster some neat armour plates.

FEATURES
  • new looks for the 3 mournfang variants
  • mournfang riders now have the visuals of ironguts
  • new looks for the 2 crusher variants
  • new look for the RoR crusher unit
  • solved the issue where the 3D porthole for scraplauncher and ironblaster units displays a mournfang instead of a rhinox
  • new unit cards

COMPATIBILITY
This mod is save game compatible. There are no stat changes to avoid any issues with bigger balancing mods. There should be no compatibility issues, unless you use another mod that alters the appearance of the 5 ogre cavalry units stated above.

I started modding because I wanted to implement my own ideas. But modding for Total War Warhammer is not very user-friendly and takes a lot of time. So, if you should decide that you enjoy one of my mods so much that you want to give something back I am always happy about a donation!

@Colithiel: Yes, it is updated for the latest patch. You can always check in the launcher itself if a mod has a green checkmark or not.

Is this still playable?

Yeah, I want to create a private version for myself, since I want to use Storeslem's variants as the riders.

@TheGrandSirPiggy: I assume you want to create a private version for yourself which does not reskin the riders? In that case you need to delete all the variantmeshdefinitions that have 'rider' in their name as well as in the variants_tables all the lines where 'rider' is in the column for 'Variant Filename'. It has been a while since I last looked into that mod file but I guess that should work.

Hi, @Fröb!
Could you please tell what should I delete in order to have only the mounts be reskinned?

Only the variant meshes stuff or do I need to delete something in the db portion as well?

@Lunatic Pandora: CA changed something regarding the UI elements of lords and heroes. That's why I had to updated a bunch of my mods with the latest patch. But regarding normal units this should not be the case.

Nah I had just noticed one of your mods has been updated recently, according to my mod manager, and I wondered if CA had changed the way graphical mods worked etc

Good to know that they don't need updating. Makes my life easier when sorting mods lol

@Lunatic Pandora: Usually they don't need an update because they are just graphical mods. Unless CA changes something fundamentally, the will work without any issues. I guess you ask because as updated date the 30.06.2022 is stated? This date only changes when I really change something in the mod file, which was not necessary since then. In the launcher they should also be displayed as updated!

Do these mods ever need an update Frob?

Can you erase the holes in their skin when you remove the bones?
