This mod works on adding Twinblades/Doublesabers to Starbound, both unique and procedurally generated ones with unique abilities to set them apart as their own weapon category.

Still in beta, but you can enjoy it for yourselves while I get more variants, animations, and abilities up and running.

If the response is positive, I'll add more abilities and parts to the generation lists.

0.11 minor update:
Replaced the Rising Slash alt ability with Rising Spiral and added Rising Energy Spiral for elemental variants.

0.2 update:
Established spawning in chests as random loot.

0.21 update:
Fixed issue preventing them from being sold by merchants.

0.31 update:
Improved/Fixed Elemental Spiral alt ability (fixed visuals, snazzy new projectiles). Added Pogo Twinblade alt ability (way better than Pogo Sword). Added 4 craftable twinblades (wood, bone, iron, tungsten). Minor damage balancing.

0.42 update:
Fixed issue with Slide Dash's damage type causing enemies to become invulnerable. Added 3 craftable twinblades (titanium, durasteel, and the samoan firedancer). Replaced Traveling Slash with the new Double Wave alt ability for Durasteel Twinblade and Uncommon generated blades. Replaced Ground Slam with the new Twinblade Slam ability on Uncommon generated blades, which corrects free-aim issues with certain mods and allows for elemental explosions.

0.53 update:
Added 3 more craftable elemental twinblades (crystal doublesaber, double tesla, and jaws of death), giving us one of each element. Fixed damage issue with crafted elemental twinblades which was causing their damage to be physical instead of elemental. Fixed issue with damage types causing errors. With 12 craftable blades, up through the later early-game, I'm going to focus more on altering default abilities for generated weapons (like Giant Sword and Blade Charge) before moving on to making rare weapons for mid and late game.
Fixed a pathing issue pointing to an FU buildscript rather than the intended Vanilla one.

0.6 update:
Added 2 craftable shortswords, and 2 craftable twinblades (ferozium and aegisalt). Added Twinblade Dash and Flip Assault abilities. Modified existing Twinblade abilities to be more consistent. Reduced overall damage output of Twinblades. Reduced treasure-find rate of Twinblades. Fixed Perfectly Generic Item spawns caused by faulty ability allocation in generated Twinblades.

0.72 update:
Added 2 craftable Twinblades (violium and [???]). Added Generated Rare Twinblades, which provide status-effects on-hit. Added Giant Twinblade ability. Tweaked treasure find-rate of Twinblades again, now should be perfectly equivalent to vanilla drop rates. Fixed recipe for Ferozium Twinblade.
