Faction Furniture

This mod changes most basic furniture items for all major factions (Holy Nation, Hive, United Cities and the Shek Kingdom) in a distinct furniture style to each faction and a few minor factions have randomized possibilities from the main faction options.

All textures, I repeat, ALL TEXTURES are vanilla assets. This mod only adds icons, mesh and collision (and not many collisions) files. This is as low poly it can be too! Yet, I have to apologize for the file size... I got decoration-happy, sooo many variations! XD

CONTENTS OF THIS MOD
-All major factions have distinctive replacement furniture pieces for vanilla furniture.
beds, tables, shelves, stools. safes, shop counters, weapons cabinets and rugs. Some factions have unique items. All vanilla replacements have also multiple randomized variations, except for shop counters, only one for each faction.

-The majority of the furniture pieces are available for the player to research and build. If an item is not available, a replacing item is available in a similar style (I figured maybe you do not want to have your furniture covered in Hive gossamer?) but I did include the Hive nest hammock for your Hive recruits.

-The player also has some unique furniture items available, not in faction sets, fe. the wicker beds. The player has pillowed mattresses in 8 colors available for the beds.

-Houseplants of 10 vanilla plants I deemed the most houseplant-like in three pot options in two sizes.

-Rugs in 8 toned down Cozy color palette (dusties), in four sizes.

You should be able to pair the Cozy Furniture with Faction Furniture no sweat color wise.

-Throne awning in the 8 dusty colors

-A ceiling lamp in two sizes, a wall lamp in two variations in two tones (cool/warm) and a wall torch.

CUSTOM RACES
These furniture items use the Cozy animations. You need to use a race compatibility patch for your custom race to be able to see them using the furniture. All already made patches I know of are listed in the compatibility patch thread.

DISCLAIMERS
This mod is made for Genesis and is included in it.

Do note, that most of the UC Noble pieces are not included in the automated furniture swaps as they are not separated faction from the United Cities and thus cannot be replaced automatically. In Genesis the devs are doing the swapping manually. These pieces are available for the player to build in this mod too, tho.

Also the Universal Wasteland Expansion has this included.


LOAD ORDER
If you are using Cozy Furniture, load it first, this after it and then the patch. Other mods can be loaded anywhere, as this is a standalone.

New game or IMPORT NEEDED.

CONFLICTS
This mod will conflict with any other mod, that swaps vanilla furniture. However the player can still build these items, even if another mod takes the swaps over.

RESEARCH and BUILD COST
I have kept all items very low cost to build, as they are meant for interior decorating and as such should not be burdensome.

All research is already available in the research window, all you need is to find the books the research needs. I have scattered them everywhich way in shops, so you should be able to find the books easily. Go to the corresponding faction city for the book.

FAQ
Q: Why are these items so boring, monochromatic and depressive?
A: These are meant to maintain the original post-apocalyptic feel of the game. It was also important the player could use any piece in combination of the other pieces, this is why I did not deviate too much colorwise.
Hint: use the fabric pieces to dress up your rooms!

Q: Why this bed does not have this colored mattress? Or this chair these decorations?
A: To include all variations possible would have taken a year to make. Feel free to mod yourself the desired combination!

BUG HUNT APPRECIATED
Let me know if you find any issues in the bug thread! I went through all items and parts twice, but it is possible I missed some typo, link or something. There are 407 individual mesh pieces I made for this mod. Anything can be amiss XD




PERMISSION TO EVERYTHING
You may do whatever you want with the mesh items I made for this mod, sell, give away, include in other games. EXCEPT the barrel and plant meshes. They are vanilla and I have no rights to them. Also I do not own the rights to the textures.
