From the Ashes - Immersion Mod

In 1 collection by Zaptagious
C&C Red Alert: From the Ashes
19 items
Description
Adds some extra cool stuff to be used with the From the Ashes campaign:

- Intro cutscene after completing the prologue
- Ending cutscene after completing the finale
- New win/lose cutscenes
- Custom briefing screens
- Custom score screens
- Custom faction logos
- Menu graphics

(it seems win/lose cutscenes will not play if you load into a game, you'll have to play the mission straight through)

If you have downloaded the missions from the From the Ashes campaign before, it is advised to remove and re-download to make sure they are updated.

Shoutout to Reilsss for helping out with the logo transparency!

Hey there. Happy to hear from you so soon.

So that final cut scene was mostly your original work? It was still amazing either way. In any case, I'm happy to hear what bits of feedback and encouragement I gave you helped you out. Maybe I'll give your latest mission a try before I move on to my replay of Tiberian Sun.

Until next time, have a good one. Laters.

Oh yes, I played that mission and you're right, it does have a pretty similar feel to it. The Side Ops mission are amazing, and I am very impressed by GotAPresentForYa's mission making skills!

Scorpion Hunters was my first foray into making a scripted mission in any C&C game. Renegade is occasionally forgotten among the other games, but it definitely had its moments!
If you're interested I made a new mission for Red Alert called Paradox Equation 2: Paradox Harder, an unofficial sequel to the classic mission from Counterstrike. But I have to warn you, it's completely unhinged!

Thanks for stopping by sharing your thoughts! Love to hear it :)

Hey bud, nice to see you again! Glad to see you enjoyed the rest of the missions!

Yes I'm quite happy with how the final cutscene turned out! It was mostly just me, except of course for whoever made the stock footage and the model of the scorpion.

For whenever you happen to revisit the campagin; like in mission 5 there is also a secret puzzle in the final mission which might give you something special ;)

I am really grateful for all the constructive and positive feedback during this project so I just wanted to show my appreciation to you and everyone else who was supportive of it :) Every bit counts, and every comment is a boost of inspiration! Outside feedback is especially helpful when you work solo, since it's pretty hard to put your mind to what it's like playing your missions without knowing all the ins and outs. Gotta find that middle-ground when it comes to difficulty.

Part 4 of 4 (Sorry for all the spam)

P.S. Your "The Scorpion Hunters" mission for Tiberian Dawn was also very enjoyable. Always liked retreading old ground from a different perspective.

P.P.S. I like to consider the "Side Ops Allies Epilogue: Real Tough Guys," of the C&C Red Alert - Side Ops series (awesome missions too) by GotAPresentForYa to take place after Crimson Dusk. One last cat's paw that Kane uses to further lull his enemies into a false sense of security. Thinking they've finally stopped their desperate last attack and with their enemies dying gasp, achieving final victory over their foes, only to be none the wiser about their true foe and much larger forces at work.

That final cut-scene though. My god, that was f*cking awesome. You, along with everyone else who may have worked on that, did an amazing job. Imagine my surprise though when I saw my username in the special thanks credits at the end. Let me just say that I'm extremely honored and humbled that my username was added, though I'm not sure what I did to deserve that. Aside from maybe pointing a few technical issues here and there, along with maybe some compliments and words of encouragement, my involvement was very little. Still grateful however that my username is attached to such an amazing mod/campaign.

That's about all I wanted to say. Thank you and everyone else who made this whole thing possible. I'll definitely play this again some time.

Untill then, have a good one. Laters.

Part 2 of 4

That last mission was the best though. I had to re-watch the little in-game "cutscene" a few times before continuing. First time, I wasn't really paying attention. Second time, I was still confused to what was going on. Third time, I finally saw and understood what happened. I thought it was quite poetic. Like with all other missions that do so, It was awesome to see familiar campaign maps from a fresh perspective, a real nostalgia trip.

First off, How have you been? It's been quite a while since I've talked to you. After finally getting my computer working right again, I've been replaying all of my Command & Conquer games. The last time I did a full playthrough to this fan campaign was after Mission #11. Dang, this came such a long way since then.

Mission 12 was pretty cool, forcing you to pick between one or the other. Both 13's were both great in there own way, I liked Sentinel better if only because of the airbase access. The last two "Nod" missions were wonderful as well. I could definitely see Kane wanting to nip such potential problems in the bud.
